Renowned Venezuelan opera singer and musical director Carlos Silva is proud to present his latest work: “And How Was It? A Story of Benny Moré.” This captivating show is set for its world premiere at the Westchester Cultural Arts Center (WCAC) on May 18th, 2024.
In a unique production by Arca Images and in partnership with the Miami Dade County Auditorium and Roxy Theater, Silva invites us on an evocative musical journey through the songs of the iconic Cuban musician Benny Moré. Set against the backdrop of a 1950s cabaret, this production offers an immersive experience into the golden age of Latin music.
Esteemed Venezuelan actor Franklin Virgüez takes the stage to tell the story of an old trumpeter, an ardent admirer of Benny, whose life takes an extraordinary turn during an unimaginable encounter with Cuba’s “King of Son.” The tale unfolds on a magical night that no music lover should miss.
We encourage our audience to fully immerse themselves in the experience by donning their finest attire, worthy of the time and glamour of a nighttime cabaret. Prepare for an intimate rendezvous with the “King of Son” that will reignite the passion and style of an unforgettable era.
Do not miss the chance to be part of this spectacular evening!
